My name is Mary O'Neill-Schmit and I am the four year old preschool teacher. I am looking forward to an exciting school year.
This is my tenth year as a preschool teacher. I previously taught first, second and third grade before I had my children. I am a mother of three children. My daughter is a senior at Benedictine University. Both of my sons graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and the younger one with his masters. The oldest works for Union Pacific and lives in Omaha, Nebraska. The younger one is a structural engineer for a private firm in Seattle, Washington.
I received my Bachelor’s degree from St. Xavier University and my Master’s degree from Chicago State. I have an 04 type license in Early Childhood. I hold an endorsement in ESL (English as a second language) from National Louis University. I always keep up to date in my teaching methods by enrolling in classes and workshops.
I believe that the teacher and parents should work as a team to give a child the best education. Each child is unique and special. Please feel free to contact me at my e mail [email protected], or our class dojo.
I look forward to a wonderful year.
